Launched in 2012 thanks to the revolutionary initiative of URI – the Union of Radiotaxi of Italy, the itTaxi project was a pioneer in Europe: a 100% Italian technology, strictly owned by taxi drivers and at the forefront of innovation.
The initiative, realised with an unprecedented level of innovation in the public transport sector, represents a unique point of reference both nationally and internationally.

itTaxi is now a point of reference in the search and development of reliable and innovative transport services, fully compliant with current industry regulations, prevailing tariff mechanisms, and the protections established by law.
The itTaxi app offers users the convenience of booking a taxi via mobile devices or computers, with a quick, intuitive booking process that fully meets the needs of the vehicle type and journey to be made. Thanks to real-time vehicle localisation on the map after booking, users can monitor the taxi's arrival. Additionally, the app offers various payment options, prioritising digital payments, and includes a review and rating system to allow users to make informed choices before booking a ride.

itTaxi has also developed a Business sector, offering the possibility to manage taxi rides through a subscription system.

can use the service to make taxi payments in all participating cities across Italy.
In May 2022, itTaxi formed a historic partnership with the international giant Uber, allowing taxi drivers to receive Uber rides directly through the itTaxi app.
This integration offers residents and tourists a fast service, thanks to the widespread presence of taxis across the territory and innovative technologies that optimise the time between rides.
